A Ministry With History

Street Invaders originated in England and was pioneered by British Youth For Christ. It has been in existence in Canada since 1989.

Street Invaders Canada was pioneered by Apostolic Youth Ministry International which later became United Youth Outreach. It has recently returned to its roots, being operated by the Apostolic Church of Pentecost Canada, where it continues to work with Christian churches across Canada, the United States and various parts of the world.

Our goal at Street Invaders is to see young people come to a greater commitment as disciples of Christ, where they are willing to give their entire lives to serve Him. Street Invaders uses evangelism and outreach as a means of developing these students into disciples. As a result, we have seen thousands of people won to Christ, discipled and sent out to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The first Street Invaders program was launched in July 1989 with a group of students from Kedleston camp in Saskatchewan. The program began with 21 students—enough for 3 mission teams.

The program eventually grew to 2 locations in SK and BC, with various outreach locations in each province. Since that time, programs have been held in Kamloops, Kelowna, Prince George, and Surrey, BC, as well as Calgary, Winnipeg, and various locations in Ontario, New Brunswick, and Quebec.

International teams have travelled to a variety of locations including Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, various areas of Africa including South Africa, Japan, China, Philippines, Malaysia, Turkey, El Salvador, Mexico, Guatemala, Australia, Estonia, Ecuador, United States, Malta, Thailand, etc.

For over 30 years, Street Invaders has gathered, trained and released students to share the love of Jesus Christ around the world. The summer youth missions program has a rich history of seeing lives changed forever through sharing the Gospel. Our DNA includes powerful worship, waiting on God, empowering students, training in sharing our faith, and then releasing teens into opportunities to see the Holy Spirit at work.

The philosophy of Street Invaders is ‘discipleship through evangelism’. Whether a student comes alone or with their youth group, attending Street Invaders is one of the best decisions they will make for developing their character and their relationship with Jesus.

With 30+ years behind us, our goal as we reach into the future is to establish a program in each Canadian province and territory, as well as various locations around the world. We encourage you to consider partnering with Street Invaders to see this worthy goal accomplished.

what do we believe?

STATEMENT OF FAITH - WE BELIEVE:

The Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative written Word of God.

In the eternal existence of one true God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

In the Savior of men, the Lord Jesus Christ, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God and very man.

In the creation, test, and fall of man, as recorded in Genesis; his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain divine righteousness.

In the forgiveness of sin and eternal life is freely offered to all by our Lord Jesus Christ. The Salvation of sinners is by grace through faith alone, in the perfect all-sufficient work of Christ, who died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day for our justification.

In Water Baptism of believers by immersion in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In the Baptism with the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation with the scriptural evidence; namely, speaking in tongues.

In the gifts of the Holy Spirit as enumerated in the book of Acts and the Epistles.

In the Lord’s Table as a memorial for believers.

In Divine Healing as practiced throughout the New Testament.

In the eternal life of the believer and the eternal punishment of the unbeliever.

In the Spirit-filled life. The Holy Spirit is the catalyst for sanctification and seeks to produce His fruit in the believer’s life as their minds are renewed and they are conformed to the image of Christ.

In the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Church.

In the sanctity of marriage, as a lifelong exclusive commitment between one man and one woman.
